GSM Fall Meeting, November 17, Augusta Civic Center  <See program>

Our Fall Meeting this year will feature presentations from people who work with Maine’s mineral resources from a variety of perspectives.  There will be presentations by economic geologists, exploration geologists, aggregate producers, environmental regulators, and a researcher into public perceptions about mining in Maine.  We will hear about the new metallic mining rules that were finally adopted this month on November 2.  A distinguished panel including Maine legislators who participated in the process will be on hand for questions and discussion.

We will begin with the annual business meeting at 1:00 pm in the Washington and York Rooms on the second floor of the Civic Center.  Please join us for an enjoyable afternoon with colleagues.
