2010 GSM Spring Meeting at UMO, March 26

This year’s Spring Meeting will be held Friday, March 26, 2010 at the University of Maine in Orono”s (Department of Earth Sciences and Climate Change Institute).

Agenda: 12:30 – 2:00: Student poster sessions – 2nd floor atrium 2:00 – 3:30: Student oral presentations – BGSC 100 3:30 – 4:00: Business Meeting – BGSC 4:00 – 5:00: Evening Speaker – To be announced 5:00 – 5:30: Social Hour 5:30 – 6:30: DINNER – York Commons

Following our long-standing tradition, this meeting will involve student presentations and posters in the afternoon, and a key-note speaker in the evening. All advisors of undergraduate and graduate students should encourage their students to participate and present their work orally or by poster. Abstracts will be compiled and handed out as a Program and Abstracts Supplement to the newsletter at the meeting. Abstracts must be formatted similar to GSA abstracts, with a title, clearly identified name of presenter, affiliation, and body of text no more than 300 words.
