<p>GSM members and the public are invited to a talk at Bowdoin College sponsored by the Earth and Ocean Science Department. Volcanoes and the Great Dying: the end-Permian extinction will be presented by Lindy Elkins-Tanton, director of the Carnegie Institution for Science’s Department of Terrestrial Magnetism. 7 pm, Room 16 Druckenmiller Hall, Bowdoin College.  Volcanoes and [&hellip;]</p>

<p>More details will be forthcoming.  A Call for Abstracts from student presenters will be circulated to Maine colleges and universities soon.</p>

<p>The GSM Fall Meeting will be held Thursday November 14, 2013 at the Augusta Civic Center. It is tentatively scheduled to start at 2 pm. The focus of the fall meeting will be a digital mapping, aerial imagery and LIDAR applications for Maine geology. The program is still under development, but we hope to provide [&hellip;]</p>
